My interview with Dicky Permana (shredding maniac) of REVER (Jakarta, Indonesia brutal death-metal)

Kieran James: Hi, mate. Thanks very much for agree to do interview with our website www.busukwebzine666.blogspot.com. These are the questions:
Dicky: Hello my bro Kieran James how are u today mate, btw I am so sorry too late for reply of your email and I hope u r okay mate.
KJ: First tell us the band history, like when you start and who are the members?
Dicky: REVOLUTION ERROR (REVER) dibentuk di jakarta, Indonesia pada tanggal 1 Januari 2003, dengan formasi pertama: Andy (vokal), Okky (bass), Dicky (gitar), dan drum oleh Bryan. Pada saat itu kami bermain musik Black Metal seperti; Dimmu Borgir, Hell Gods, dll. Di pertengahan tahun 2004 kami mengubah konsep musik kami secara total, yaitu Death Sickness Metal.
Dengan rilisan pertama kami yaitu Demo Tape “Eksperimental Gore”, direkam di Studio Doors dengan bermodalkan 4 lagu: Kematian Setelah Pendarahan, Eksperimental Gore, Korban Mutilasi, Pedih dan Tersicksa.
KJ: What cities have you played shows?
Dicky: Kami pernah tampil show di beberapa kota diantaranya : Jakarta, Bekasi, Tangerang, dll
KJ: How is progress for your demo or album?
Dicky: Proses rekaman MCD “Make My Sorrow Pride“ yang berisikan 3 buah lagu direkam di sebuah studio di kota bekasi yang bernama “K” studio. Proses rekaman album tersebut hanya mengabiskan 1 shift saja dikarenakan kami menggunakan Drums Programing, jadi sangat singkat sekali.
KJ: Why you like to play death-metal?
Dicky: Death metal is more than crunching guitars and harsh vocals. Although the rough guitar sound and guttural vocals are important, the music contains melodies, harmonies, patterns, and complex time signatures, as well. The initial blast of death metal can take a little getting used to (especially if your ears are accustomed to softer sounds), but if you listen closely you'll start to appreciate the quality of the musicianship.
KJ: How to describe your style and what bands do you like?
Dicky: Musik kami dipengaruhi oleh DYING FETUS, DEVOURMENT, NAPALM DEATH, DISAVOWED, SUFFOCATION, CENOTAPH, NEURAXIS, PYAEMIA, PHALOGORE, DIMMU BORGIR, BEHEMOTH, serta band-band lokal seperti; TRAUMA, DEATH VOMIT, SIKSA KUBUR, TENGKORAK, FUNERAL INCEPTION, SADISTIS, BLOODY GORE, JASAD, ABABIL, GRAUSIG, DAJJAL, DISINFECTED, TOTAL RUSAK.
KJ: I know Bandung is huge Death Metal City with JASAD and BLEEDING CORPSE and TURBIDITY and JIHAD and many great bands. What is the scene like in Jakarta compared to Bandung?
Dicky: Menurut saya scene Death Metal di kota jakarta sangat berkembang sekali dan banyak band-band yang bertalenta disini seperti : GRAUSIG, FUNERAL INCEPTION, SIKSA KUBUR, MAYAT, dll aksi panggung mereka bagus-bagus dan tidak kalah dengan band-band Death Metal dari bandung [smiles].
KJ: What are your goals and plans for the band?
Dicky: Just still exist in DEATH METAL scene.
KJ: What jobs do you have outside of metal?
Dicky: Aktifitas kami diluar band sangat melelahkan sekali dan masing-masing personil mempunyai pekerjaan dan itu membuat kami terkadang sering merasa sibuk sekali [smiles]

KJ: Did you see our interview with HELLSKUAD? What do you think of that band and do you know the guys?
Dicky: Yes I know HELLSKUAD band, HELLSKUAD adalah band yang sangat berbahaya sekali, Great band.
KJ: Last one: Any message or word for your fans?
Dicky: "Selalu support underground scene di Indonesia. IN DEATH WE TRUST IN BRUTALITY WE BLAST. Cheers."
