Bleeding Gasoline is 5 piece Metal band from The
Central Coast of New South Wales, Australia. Band members are Jason Finlay –
(Vocals), Luke Miller – (Rhythm Guitar/Backing Vocals), Jamie Mackey – (Lead
Guitar/Backing Vocals), Toby Burke – (Bass/Backing Vocals), Bradd Shickadance –
(Drums).
Bleeding Gasoline was formed in the middle of 2012
after 2 Central Coast bands had called it quits. BG
wrote and recorded 6 songs and did a secret show for a chosen few, just to see
how they felt and the feed back the got back from the crowd was very positive.
In January and February the guys hit the recording studio and recorded a 3 song
EP which blew everyone away. The self
titled EP was released on the 11 of May 2013.
Now with the release of
the EP, the guys in BG travelled and did as many shows as possible. They travelled down to Canberra ,
Wollongong , Newcastle ,
The Central Coast and played in Sydney
quite a few times. The guys in BG had the pleasure of supporting bands such as Twelve
Foot Ninja (Melbourne), Death Audio (Melbourne), Tensions Arise (Sydney) as
well as sharing the stage with numerous amazing bands. The guys in the band show no signs of slowing
down.
In December 2013 the guys
re-entered the recording studio again, and recorded a 5 song EP. The band had
played possibly their biggest show to date as part of a Central
Coast festival, called The Reunion . They shared the stage with some of the countries
best known bands such as King Parrot (Melbourne), The Snowdroppers (Sydney),
Something With Numbers (Central
Coast ,) as well as a swag
of local talent, many of whom are good mates.
On the 26 January 2014 the
guys in BG shared the stage with some of the east coasts best metal and hard
rock bands as part of an "Australia Day Extravaganza", down at The
Valve Bar (Agincourt
Hotel Sydney ).
The guys are now hoping to travel down to Melbourne
and even up to Brisbane
for some shows.
The self titled 3 song EP reminds
me, at first listen, of Rob Zombie, crossed between Drowning Pool and Machine
Head, which is a really cool mix. The EP is just over 13 minutes long and kicks
into the songs Leech, Set Me Free and No Religion Here. The songs are all really catchy and have a
head banging groove to them.
Groove laden riffs, fist
pumping drumming, pounding bass along with some very diverse vocals, make this
an EP you just want to get off your arse and jump around and start a pit in
your lounge room. This is one of those EP’s that makes you want to get into the
music from start to finish. The guys
from BG should be very happy with this little gem that they have created. If
this is their start for an up and coming album, then bring that album on! BG
has a big future in front of them and this is going to be a huge year for them.
I can’t wait for the new EP later this year.
BG will be releasing a
brand new EP which is set for a massive EP launch at the beginning of June this
year. I can’t wait for the EP launch to
hear what the boys have come up with and the guys from BG, I’m sure can’t wait
for the fans’ response.
If you are a fan of Rob
Zombie, Drowning Pool, Machine Head, just to name few, you will like BG. Check
out their video for “No Religion Here” on YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iwu3Tl6PJL8).
I spoke with the vocalist and he said that the video they did for No Religion
Here, was done up at Morisset’s old mental facility, which is on the Central
Coast of NSW, Australia. He said that
the whole area was very creepy, and the surroundings suited the song very well.
Keep up the great work
guys!
